Five Drinks Into Big Brother 18 Week 3 Game and Show Rankings

Tom's Take

Week 3 is in the books and despite the shocking way that Production has prevented any real house flips, the house has managed to find a way to flip. I'm annoyed with production, but thankful to the frankly awful gameplay of these houseguests that have kept this game interesting.

1. Tiffany

Awards:

Tiffany stayed this week despite really not contributing much to the BB18 game. She gave a fiery speech against Frank, but played very little part in actually rallying the votes. She's an island of her own at this point, but she's still in the game, so that's good for her.

2. Paulie

Awards:

Paulie ended up caving to the will of the house and getting out Bronte, tipping off Frank that all was not cool with them. He continues to be the best set up alpha in the house, but his ability to completely stifle gameplay falls far short of Derrick allowing there to be gigantic cracks in the alliance, and much more danger to him than Derrick was ever in.

3. Bronte

Poor Bronte was the victim of Bridgette's terrible gameplay, and Michelle making a power move. She was aware of the house dynamic to a large degree though, and was doing her best to get under that radar, she just couldn't count on her ally being an absolute dumbass.

4. Michelle

Showplay: 70
Awards: Best Player of the Week

Michelle made the power move of flipping the votes, and keeping Tiffany who is a solid ally for her. She also did great work this week improving her social game with Bridgette and Natalie, and she has learned that the showmances have an alliance, and instead of over reacting to that knowledge has made moves to improve her position within that alliance. She could honestly be Andy level good, if it wasn't for the fact that she seems so catty and oblivous. But is that an act? We need DRs to know.

5.  Natalie

I continue to love Natalie, and have an irrational bias towards her, but while her flying under the radar is probably her best move, she seems to be consciously trying to put her head in the sand, when she could be doing subtle things to improve her position. I worry that she's going to fall victim to production's twists to stop the game from shaking up.

6. Corey

God, I hate Corey.  But he's going to be around for a while, and his douchemance with Nicole, and his douchliance with Paulie and Zakiyah

7. Paul

Showplay: 60
Awards:

Watching Paul just force his way into the majority alliance has been eyeopening. He's literally just working his way in through work.  I'm not a Paul fan, but he's playing so hard, that it is pretty impressive.

8. Zakiyah

She's playing so well she's invisible. No, I think Zak is gonna be there for the long haul, but I'm going to give her less and less points for coasting as the season goes on, because she does need to do something to pull off a win.

9. Bridgette

Comp: 70

Showplay: 20

Awards: Worst Player of the Week

Bridgette gets too many comp points to really be the worst player of the week, but I'm just ashamed of her bad gameplay. She allowed Frank to play her, and then she opened her mouth to Michelle of all people and gave her the ammo to get Paulie on board to take down Bronte. She's not an underdog, but she does have Frank ahead of her, so good for her.

10. Glenn

Awards: Jodi + BB13 Keith

Poor poor Glenn.

13. Da'Vonne

Awards: Star of the Show, DR Queen

Da continues to overplay, but while she's certainly in the discussion to be a target, the target hasn't completely settled on her. She continues to be the absolute star of the show, and even if she is a prejury boot, I think she's done enough to get a 3rd shot.

14. Frank Eudy

Frank remains untouchable despite horrendous gameplay that has put him in the total shitter.

15. James

Comp:

Awards:

Why am I giving James less credit than Natalie? Because James had a better position, and he is allowing it to get worse, by allowing Bronte to get evicted, instead of making a proactive move against Paul. James is letting the game get away from him, because he won't/can't step up and run shit.

16. Nicole

Paranoid, entitled, plays without guts. Nicole is my least favorite player in the BB18 house, and while I'm probably being harsh on her grade, I just can't give Nicole credit for moves made from a place of fear. Nicole is still a frontrunner, but I am unimpressed by her actual game, and will continue to not give her credit.
