Week 3 was actually a pretty solid week, as there was a lot of maneuvering being done. Paul refuses to slow down, so the entire show continues to revolve around him, which is irritating for those of us who don't love Paul, but he is putting on a show. It'll be interesting to see if he can pull this thing out.

Major props to Jessica for winning Temptation and holding on to the Halting Hex for next week. I feel like she did everything right this week, working steadily to integrate herself back into the group. Unfortunately her efforts were constantly sabatoged by Alex, who at this point I assume is operating from a place of either jealousy or a complete inability to drop a grudge. Jessica played this week right, so I'm giving her credit for that, even though without the Hex she would probably be the next to go. Even though she's playing well, she's coming out of a hole and has many obstacles if she hopes to make a very deep run in this game. That said, if she plays the Hex right, she should be guaranteed 3 more weeks in the house. We'll see.

Kevin is a lot of fun, and his social game is such, that I really do think he has an outside chance at this thing. But he's lacking some strategic elements, and more and more I worry that he's just going to let Paul run away with the thing.

Not much has changed with Elena, but she's another one with a shot of being a dark horse in this game. She has natural social ability, and social graces that make her a real thread to do very well in this game. My problem is that I need her to turn on and see the tough choices that she as a player is going to have to make. Taking out Dominique this week really helped Elena, as that was a thorn in her side she didn't even know about, but I don't feel like Elena did it for her own game, but rather as part of helping Paul's game. That needs to change if she's gonna win this thing.

Jason is entertaining, and he's playing to try to win. It just sucks that way too often he lets Alex talk him down from actually decent plans. Ultimately I think Paul will see Jason as an obstacle to getting Alex's complete loyalty, and will decide to remove him. There's a glimmer of hope that Jason will get Paul first, but I really think Alex is stamping that out.

Alex made some moves this week. While a lot of it was pushing Paul's agenda, Alex managed to make a crack in the Cool Kids Club, while also getting into a really cozy spot in the middle of the house. She's horribly catty to Jessica, and her cockiness is off the charts, but she is set up really well. Her blind faith in Paul makes me want to discredit her whole game, but I can't really do that in all fairness. She's playing well, but unless she opens her eyes to Paul, she's playing for 2nd.
