Five Drinks Into Reality TV: Survivor Season 30 "World's Apart" Episode 7 "A Line Will Be Drawn Tonight"

Tom's Take:

A really great merge episode that saw three or possibly even four distinct groups plotting and strategizing. A lot of people shifted around in this episode, and we were left with Kelly, arguably the most boring character left in the game getting the boot. The result is that the rest of the season should be very exciting, as everybody left is a character.

1. Shirin

Shirin chose the side of the No Collars, which I approve of! Her reasoning of wanting to weaken the Blue Collar was smart, and I think taking out Kelly will majorly weaken that overall side, because in my mind she was the person who really brought over Carolyn and Will to their side. Shirin will be fine for at least two more votes, and after that I won't be able to predict what happens.

1st Episode Prediction: Late Juror
2nd Episode Prediction: Early Juror
3rd Episode Prediction: Early Juror
4th Episode Prediction: Pre-Merge
6th Episode Prediction: Late Juror
7th Episode Prediction: Runner Up

2. Carolyn

Carolyn is in a phenomenal position, giving a lot of credence to the idea that in a three tribe season you should intentionally Matsing in order to give yourself the pivotal swing position in this game. I think Carolyn is in the single best position to win this game right now, and here's how I think she should do it.

1st: Convince Mike that the Rodney/Will alliance is dangerous, and get rid of Will.
2nd Take out Joe
3rd: Switch and take out Mike.
4th: Take out Dan
5th-7th: Jenn, Hali, Shirin.
8th: Backstab Tyler

Win the final 3 against Sierra and Rodney.

Do I think it'll be that straightforward? No. But if she could, she would be a legendarily good strategic player. My honest opinion is that she'll stick with Blue Collar no long, and Mike will cut her down instead.

1st Episode Prediction: Pre-Merge
2nd Episode Prediction: Early Juror
3rd Episode Prediction: Early Juror
4th Episode Prediction: Late Juror
6th Episode Prediction: Late Juror
7th Episode Prediction: Late Juror

3. Tyler

Tyler is right there with Carolyn, but he's tainted by Wak association and he's so athletic that I would think that people will eventually turn on him. And I'm not sure he can even beat "Mama C" in the end.

1st Episode Prediction: Early Juror
2nd Episode Prediction: Early Juror
3rd Episode Prediction: Early Juror
4th Episode Prediction: Early Juror
6th Episode Prediction: Early Juror
7th Episode Prediction: Late Juror

4. Dan

I'm thinking that maybe an immunity win by Mike puts Dan out first, at a critical point in the game, giving Mike a chance to really go far. But maybe Dan does end up with Mike at the end as a total Goat.

1st Episode Prediction: Early boot
2nd Episode Prediction: Pre-Merge
3rd Episode Prediction: Pre-Merge
4th Episode Prediction: Early Juror
6th Episode Prediction: Early Juror
7th Episode Prediction: Early Juror

5. Mike

So Mike is a good player, and he's got a strong chance at this game, he's one of the four top contenders with Jenn and the Swingers duo, but I'M STILL BETTING AGAINST HIM!!!

Kudos to Merica though. Hilarious Tribe name.

1st Episode Prediction: Early Boot
2nd Episode Prediction: Early Boot
3rd Episode Prediction: Pre-Merge
4th Episode Prediction: Early Juror
6th Episode Prediction: Early Juror
7th Episode Prediction: Late Juror

6. Rodney

Honestly, I have no idea what to predict from Rodney. He could be the salvation of the No Collar Tribe if he does something stupid next week though. So finger's crossed!

1st Episode Prediction: Early Juror
2nd Episode Prediction: Early Juror
3rd Episode Prediction: Early Juror
4th Episode Prediction: Early Juror
6th Episode Prediction: 12th Place

7. Sierra

She went back to being invisible, so I'm writing off her chances right now.

1st Episode Prediction: Early Juror
2nd Episode Prediction: Late Juror
3rd Episode Prediction: Late Juror
4th Episode Prediction: Late Juror
6th Episode Prediction: Late Juror
7th Episode Prediction: Early Juror

8. Kelly

I personally think voting off Kelly could have huge benefits for the No Collar alliance, since in my mind, Kelly was the one who brought in the No Collars and Will to the massive voting bloc. Without her, I think the White Collar duo will feel much looser and willing to go with the No Collar group on at least a couple of votes down the road.

Kelly was unfortunately for her, a pretty boring player.

3rd Episode Prediction: Early Boot
4th Episode Prediction: Runner Up
6th Episode Prediction: Runner Up

11. Jenn

Great idol play, and Jenn was presented as the leader of the No Collar alliance, officially permanently bumping her ahead of Joe in my ranking of who is gonna win this season. I'm all in on Team Jenn!

1st Episode Prediction: Runner Up
2nd Episode Prediction: Winner
3rd Episode Prediction: Runner Up
4th Episode Prediction: Winner
6th Episode Prediction: Winner
7th Episode Prediction: Winner

12. Joe

Joe is probably going to be the next person to be voted out unless he can idol his way out of danger. Everyone wants his head on a stick.

2nd Episode Prediction: Late Juror
3rd Episode Prediction: Winner
4th Episode Prediction: Late Juror
